Review - Danger Girl and the Army of Darkness #1

Danger Girl and the Army of Darkness #1 by IDW. Written by Andy Hartnell. Drawn by Chris Bolson. $3.99.

All I can say is, About bloody time! These two properties were just destined to be together in a comic. I mean come on, a organization of hot female ass kickers teaming up with the cult character Ash in one comic, what more can you ask, demon and zombies of course.

In this issue the Danger Girl's are introduced and go after the demon book Necronomicon Ex-Mortis (From the Army of Darkness movies), but only find one page. This in turn leads the main Danger Girl, Abbey Chase, to hunt down Ash as the single page shows his face.

The action and artwork are extremely well done and lead you thru the comic wanting more. I think the artist Chris Bolson was a great choice for this title and really gets the look and style of the characters down to a science.

The story itself is written by one of the co-creators of Danger Girls, Andy Hartnell, and it shows. The story is interesting and makes sense in a way that fans of Danger Girl or fans of the Army of Darkness will not be disappointed. I am definitely looking forward to up-coming issues.
