Review - American Vampire Survival of the Fittest #5

American Vampire Survival of the Fittest #5 by Vertigo/DC Comics. Written by Scott Snyder. Drawn by Sean Murphy. $2.99

The final issue in this limited series goes out with a bang. The Ancient Vampires kick the living....errrr dead shit out of the Nazi vampires.

After letting loose the ancient vampires, Cash and Felicia make there way to the extraction point as the ancients tear the Nazi's a new one. Some do get by to pursue them but meet there fate at the hands of Cash.

The ancient vampires are bad ass and the way Sean Murphy draws/created them makes you glad they sleep most the time. The story does have some sad parts to it, but I don't want to give them away.

I hate that this title is over due to my desire to learn more about the ancient vampires and the world Scott Snyder and Rafael Albuquerque created. I hope they will continue to delve into all this in later series if not in the main title.

Again a solid book that I recommend either collecting on a regular basis or getting the trade paperback when they come out.
