Review - American Vampire Survival of the Fittest #4

American Vampire Survival of the Fittest #5 by Vertigo/DC Comics. Written by Scott Snyder. Drawn by Sean Murphy. $2.99

First off, is this a awesome fucking cover or what. This would be a great poster if they decide to put it into production.

In this issue the shit hits the fan. The ancient vampires are released and the cure has been found. Now all Cash and Felicia have to do is get the hell out of dodge, which is not going to be easy with the vampire 77th in their way.

This issue gives more information about the vampire races that came before as well as the good Doctors reasoning behind what he does. As well as, what the current vampire race has been doing to all those ancient beings.

I am really enjoying this limited series and I hope this is just the start of other spin-offs from the main title. The history alone you are learning from this series is enough to keep you reading it. Getting to see a glimpse of what went on in Scott Snyder's head when he co-created this with Rafael Albuquerque is priceless. And when you do, you clearly see a well thought out creation that keeps getting better and better with each storyline.
